Another Poll Has Surfaced.

On Philly.com a poll had come out on who people thinks should start at quarterback next week. The results were quite surprising. The three options were Matt Barkley, Nick Foles if healthy, or Mike Vick if healthy. Nick Foles won the majority vote 57.6% which is about Vick's career completion percentage so in some way that has to be good right? The real shocker is in second place was Matt Barkley. He got 33.9% of the votes and Mike Vick WHEN HEALTHY got a measly 8.5%. This was out of out of over 4600 voters. So it would seem that even if Mike is healthy the majority has seen enough to know that his time has come in Philly. Now there's still the few that STILL blame all of Vick's coaches, teammates, schemes, weather, and everything else but Mike for all of his issues, but it's good to see those voices are becoming fewer and fewer. You can't "FIX" the problem with a broken piece of equipment. For the record I hope Foles or Barkley finishes the season. I want to see if Foles has the mettle to bounce back after such a poor performance. I want to see if Barkley can be something in this league. I want one of these guys to step up well enough to force Chip Kelly to change this offense to keep them as the starter or get a team to make an insane Raiders/Vikings/Saints like trade to get him from us. In any case playing Mike Vick healthy or not does not serve the Eagles present or future interests.

  • The argument on "Who should be starting at QB" is OVER. Nick Foles is now the starting QB until the season is over at which time Matt Barkley will take over.

This argument can be filed away in the filing cabinet right behind the Mcnabb needs to go file. LOL
  • wow . you seem eager to see the losses pile up. Frankly, who cares. Its a crappy team and organization and Philly gets what it asked for.
  • How can you claim he's eager for losses when you want Vick to be the guy? This year alone he's 1-3 in games he's finished!
  • Halfway through the season it's safe to say they all stink and/or injury prone. The poll should be which quarterback should we draft.
  • I don't think we will know that until the season is over. So many things can happen from the Eagles making the playoffs to Chip Kelly jumping ship for USC.
  • Anything can pretty much happen except Chip Kelly leaving. College coaches sign on for 2 seasons no matter what. People in the college ranks are trying to find their guys RIGHT NOW. So if Chip wanted to leave it's really too late to even discuss.
  • You don't think after a miserable season and a buyout from USC that Lurie wouldn't let him go?
  • you don't follow.. If that happens, it has to happen like NEXT WEEK..

Remember when that douche from Miami left? We knew he was leaving like week 8 into the season. He tried to keep it under wraps, but everyone knew!
  • There were some questions about Chip leaving for USC, but I don't think USC will address the coaching situation until the end of the season anyway. They could have called Chip, but he likely would have told them no during the season. Guys like Petrino and Saban are kind of scumbags. I think Chip is a lesser type scumbag.
  • This is one of the things I was afraid of when hiring Kelly. I just get this feeling he's gonna pull a Saban on us and not only would we be looking for a QB, but we'd have to start over AGAIN.
  • USC has been hard core involved in their Coaching search as far as I'm aware. it doesn't work the same way as it does in the NFL.
  • Whoever gets in there won't be there until after the season is over. Chip moving in silence
    would not shock me.
  • Kelly can't go back to the college ranks until 2015...part of his punishment for the violations he was part of in Oregon. I wouldn't be stunned if the Eagles keep on losing...and if it's in the back of his mind it would explain why he went with Vick and the win now mentality. If he doesn't draft his guy next year I would guess we just might see it happen in 2015.
  • That's good to know I guess. He's at least committed for two seasons.
