Are the Eagles Destined to Win the Superbowl Next Year???

No. There is no such thing as being destined to receive what 31 others are sacrificing time, money, body and soul to achieve. The Eagles will have to to want it more than the other 31 teams.

They'll have to drive themselves relentlessly. Push past agony. Dig deeper than ever for strength. Feed off the fallen, and never avert their collective gaze from the prize.

There is no point in going if they lose. There is no solace in losing if they go.

There is no destiny.

Just work, sacrifice, agony, and if they are worthy, glory.

This is reaching. As long as the Eagles are saddled with a stubborn coach who continues to devalue wide receivers, timeouts, linebackers, veterans, safeties, special teams, defensive coordinator, and a running game I see little chance of a super bowl run. Andy Reid and his stubborn ways are a classic example of doing the same thing and expecting different results.

Same here Randall...don't care who is playing any NFC East team besides the Eagles and how many Superbowls they have won (nor whether they may have had a little help winning those championships). GO PATS!

I don't know if the Eagles are destined to win the Superbowl, but if the Giants beat the Patriots in the Superbowl, the Eagles would have lost to all of the past three Superbowl winners in their home openers (Saints, Packers, and possibly the Giants). So if a team wants to win the Superbowl all they have to do is beat the Eagles in Philly in their first home game.

You mean like how the past three World Series Champs have all beat the Phils in the playoffs (Yanks, SF Giants, and Cards)?

Those were playoff matches so of course that was likely to happen. To beat the Phillies you have to be a hot team, but it is ironic to me that the last three SB champs have defeated the Eagles in the Eagles home opener the past three seasons.

Told you Coughlin is a good coach. His players play for him. Reid cant tap into his players because they despise him.

Not only does his players play for him, but he knows how to call a game and make adjustments. Everyone wants to talk about the Bill Walsh coaching tree, but the Bill Parcells coaching tree boasts 6 Super Bowl victories and it's not nearly as big as the Walsh coaching tree.

good point. people make fun of Coughlins antics but he is fully engaged in everything going on on the field. His players show loyalty and he gives it right back. Reid gets shown loyalty-Dawk, Trotter, McNabb, Sheppard, Brown...etc and they all end up backstabbed. Wheter or not he calls these shots he is the only one to direct blame too for not asking for more from management.

We have run out of excuses. Our shame is no secret. We have lost respect on and off the field. Players like Frank Gore called the eagles "quitters". Warren sapp said the Eagles have "no heart". We are a team with no focus, no drive and no agenda. We have succumbed to mediocrity. The Eagles are not to be feared. They arent intimidating. They wont hit you high and low. In fact alot of times they wont hit at all. The FO is just a bunch of buffoons running their fat traps. We are hot air.
