Confusing Realistic Expectations/Concerns With "Hating."

Hate and hating are two of the most overused words on this site. Apparently if one isn't upset over the fact Andy Reid doesn't have a job for life, rather they expect him to produce victories and championships to preserve his job, they are ASSumed to be a "hater." If one thinks it's time to move on from a player like McNabb, Westbrook, Kolb, Owens, Tre Thomas, and one day Mike Vick too, it isn't because their skills have diminished, or they just aren't capable of getting the job done (winning a championship), it's because they "hate" these players. An ASSumed "hate" as if these players some how personally wronged these people. Let me ASSure those who ASSume that everyone who may criticize something a player or coach may do or fails to does, does not "hate" their team. In fact (speaking for myself here) it's quite the opposite. You see I expect my team to win championships and I expect this to be their primary goal. If there is something on the team that is hindering this objective (like an offensive line coach trying to coach a defense in a wide 9 scheme that allows teams to run all over it) I am going to speak my mind about it. That doesn't mean I  "hate" that person or the team at all. In fact most of these people I have never met in my life. I have an autographed football and poster of Jeremy Maclin and when I met him to have him sign it he was a cool guy, but don't think for a moment that makes him excused from my criticisms. I believe Shady is the best running back in football, but that doesn't mean he can't get better and that he's above being criticized. Jimmy Rollins more than any other Phillie represents all of the success that team has had the past seven years, but he's not excused from hear criticisms, especially if he is not busting it out on a play when he obviously should have. 

With this being the case I HOPE Andy Reid is capable of keeping his job, because that is GOOD FOR THE EAGLES. It means the Eagles are most likely in the playoffs or better and that what matters. I HOPE Mike Vick stays healthy, because he is our best chance to win. I HOPE Desean Jackson can get back to being the good receiver he was prior to the guy from last year. I HOPE Juan can get and keep these guys playing at a top level, because the Eagles are going to need his players to make stops in order to win championships. Mike Vick owes us three of them from his own mouth so they had all better get their grind on.

There you have it. You can continue to ASSume that because you support mediocrity from players and coaches you are somehow a better fan. You can continue to believe that fearing change somehow makes you a better fan. This is what I know. I want people to do better (and if they cant do better find someone else who can) for the sake of the Eagles getting better. I believe my desire to see the Eagles be better than 8-8 MAKES ME AN OUTSTANDING FAN. When they're playing I'm rooting for all of them, and HOPING they come out on top unless losing is in some way a better option for the team. I know that statement is too big for some of you to even begin to comprehend. I am looking for the Eagles to be better while others are hoping they stay the same 8-8.
