January 10, 2014

YOU can't get better just by bulls***ing yourself, and omitting the problems right in front of your face.

In many ways the 2013 Raiders were a better team than the 2012 Raiders. There are a lot of mental fundamentals in place that would allow this ballclub to seemingly "come from nowhere" in 2014. But that can't get done if things like THIS, are allowed to happen: ( http://www.raiders.com/news/article-1/Areas-of-Improvement-/a829a817-c9b3-449e-8526-5717e9859345 ).

This article simply dismisses stats it doesn't like and focus SOLELY on the ones it does. Anything regarding passing, both offensive AND defensive is just flat out ignored. If you read JUST what is allowed to be printed, you'd come away feeling rosy and bright. However if you WATCHED the Raiders play, you'd know that there's a lot of progress to be made. Not that it has to take a long time, but there's a lot of distance to cover in terms of being a good team record wise.

But this article is "The Emperor's New Clothes". and shame on it.
