Mediocre Giants to Superbowl. The "dream team" ponders the future again.

Ive been telling you all season what a good coach Coughlin is and what a great organization the Ravens have. Sure , the Ravens came up short but everyone knows what the outcome should have been. And now the Eagles sing us a lullaby. It goes something like this "Sleep little darling fans do not cry for I will sing you another lullabyeeee". Reids on some island overlooking the white sandy beaches sipping a pina colada while his sons are looking to score from some beach hustler. What a sight. Now they are planning the Eagles future it starts with letting D-Jax go. You see all the magazines and internet sites that have him rated as the #1 free agent are all wrong. The Eagles they have him on a different place on the board. Hes on the not worth sh*t list. Why? Too expensive. Wants too much. Not as good as you think. What you see him do doesnt really happen. Hes getting old? Here we go again.

  • Juan still around?
  • Tough loss for the Ravens Hollywood.
  • real tough. Might be the first time in 30 years I actually liked the baltimore team. I want to join but its too late. Im not on anyones bandwagon. this was the year for them. Next year , will be decision time about alot of longtime Ravens. they need a youth movement.

  • You got that right Sucker. Both the Pats and the Giants should have lost.
  • I see other WRs rated higher than DeJack Hollywood. What sites do you see him ranked #1?

  • You dont know what you are talking about. Only in Philly are they ripping jackson and have a front office set on devaluing him .
  • saw a couple free agent sites listing him as the most sought after FA WR. I wasnt suprised but I thought guys like Jackson , Bowe or Colston might have that spot reserved for them. I think Jackson because of his age will be the most sought after FA if he hits the market. just my opinion.
  • Walterfootbll.com has him ranked as the 8th ranked receiver because of the year he had...just saying.
  • You mean the season the FO forced him to have by paying him with IOU's and the stock options on his Eagle future.
  • Yes hollywood, the season the Eagles "made" him have when they "handcuffed" him so he couldn't reach a little farther to catch a few passes (including TDs) where they made him run backwards looking for a lane instead of taking what he could get on punt returns and where he fumbled on purpose against the Bears on one such play (your words) and also where he couldn't get to a Special Teams meeting. You know who else are due contracts (and still played under their rookie contracts...I think) and played there hearts out hollywood? Two of the running backs you have ranked ahead of McCoy, Ray Rice and Matt Forte. They are ranked 1st and 3rd at their postion by Walterfootball. Again, let's not act like the Eagles are the only team that does these things. Most players come out and try to show teams they are worth the money they want, Jackson didn't. Not sure what he did but he certainly didn't show any team he is worth top receiver money like he claimed he wanted.
  • The long snapper got paid more than the two time probowler. You work for Lurie?
  • You just don't see anything at all unless it's the hollywood way, do you? I bring up some very good points and you just ignore them. Jackson doesn't deserve top wide receiver money hollywood, and I wouldn't doubt that is what he is looking for (or at least was until he underperformed in his contract year). There may be a team willing to give him more money than the Eagles but he shouldn't get Fitzgerald money. Teams just don't give players a 16 million dollar a year contract because he was underpaid the last couple years. If Jackson played hard all year and did what he needed to, maybe he and the Eagles could have come to an agreement. He is partly to blame for this mess too.
  • lets wait and see how he does on the open market and Ill watch you eat those words.
  • The guy isnt just a receiver
  • At 9.4 million that's all he is hollywood. I highly doubt the Eagles will sacrifice that type of investment on too many punt returns.
  • Saw that, but also I think walterfootball is a Giants fan. He writes like one anyway.
  • To be fair Randall, you are probably right. You want to run a football website like his you shouldn't be biased but I have come to see that he definitely doesn't seem to be an Eagles fan or a Reid fan. He also uses nicknames like "dogkiller" for Vick and used to rip the hell out of Peters by calling him lazy and still needed to upgrade at 2 tackle positions but has stopped that in the last season or two. Kind of makes you not want to take him seriously when he is trashing players but I still check his site out especially around free agency and the draft. Regardless, hollywood pushes the truth when trying to get his point across and this is one of those times. I would guess that MOST sites (and maybe all) and guides don't have Jackson ranked #1 but that wouldn't help hollywood's thinking that the Eagles are the only team in football history that hasn't given one of their stars that huge contract he thinks he deserves. Don't get me wrong, I would like to see the Eagles and Jackson come to an agreement. I just know that it isn't always as simple as he thinks it is.

  • You want to get decapitated for chump change. Be my guest
  • What do you get for small $$$$$
  • I don't know if this is a legit id Hollywood. I've already contacted the yard and I'm waiting to hear back. I see an id up that I thought I included in my list to the mods. I will say to you again as soon as you see a multiple id or suspect one don't argue with them. Contact the mods and let them take a look. This site has been the best I have ever seen it since they cracked down. We can never let it get back to the way it was. Multiple id's and you're banned.
  • I agree. But as you know I never liked that. Some may not like me but I stick to football unless attacked.
  • I know.
  • If there is anything mediocre about the Giants this year, it was the 9 wins. But let's face it, they were devasted with injuries all season long. They still did what good teams do and found a way to get to the mountain top. Now they're gonna kick Pretty Boy Brady off of it again.Eli is playing as well as a QB can play down the stretch and everyone is healthy. Giants 35 Patriots 21.
  • I like the Pats a 34-24.
  • Congratulations Giantsrepeat. You guys deserve it. You did it the old fashioned way. You earned it. I have no idea why the Patriots are favored. They didn't beat a winning team all year until they beat the Ravens and they should have lost that game. I like the G-men by two td's in this one especially if Gronkowski isn't 100% and I don't believe he is.
  • I have no problem with the Giants taking it but Eagle fans vent there frustration at them rather than being mad at the crappy owner & coach we have. Ive been saying all year that Coughlin knows how to manage a game as good as anybody. Hes an excellent game planner, motivator and halftime adjuster. this will be a battle of head coaches.
  • Thanks Romo, I must admit it looked bleak there for awhile but they hung in there. Damn, we need another to tie your guys....enjoy the off season, it will be August before you know it.
  • I heard a rumor that spotella slit her wrists after Bradshaw scored the game winning TD, anybody hear anything different, BAAAAHHHHAAAAAA!!! But seriously, Eli deserved this because he played his ass off down the stretch. If the Giants had not had the ridiculously high number of injuries to starters all year they would have run away with the NFC East and won 12 to 14 games. Hell they lost both running backs at different times, that's why they averaged 89 yards a game. But once they got the entire O Line and both backs healthy down the stretch they averaged 116. Thay also lost Osi and Tuck for a bunch of games as well as their #1 pick Prince Amukamora. It didn't help any that they also lost their best D Back Terrell Thomas for the season in camp either. But they still found a way to win and in the end that's all that matters. So I guess the Giants have REPEATED AGAIN,(not consecutively mind you), as SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS. Now they need to go for a Back to Back Repeat, How Sweet It Is!!!!
  • Lol. Funny stuff G.R. Congratulations on Another Super Bowl. They never get old do they? Not much going on in the yard these days. I've been on a couple of other sites too but the trolls on there would make you pine for BF. I'm going to chill until next season. WORK is busy. I think it's going to be a two team race next season between the Five Time Super Bowl Champions and the Four Time Super Bowl Champions. Take care G.R. Peace.
  • I hear ya Romo, like I always told you, I respect the Cowboys for what they've accomplished through the years. Their a class organization, unlike the iggles fans who cheered while Michael lay motionless on the ground, possibly paralyzed. That's part of the Bad Karma that will insure that they remain the only team in the NFC East to NEVER WIN A SUPER BOWL!!! Be cool my friend.
  • I respect the G-men too G.R. Great team, great organization and great fans. I will always hate the Eagles just like the rest of America. The yard just had a thread on the most disappointed fan bases in college and the pros from every sport. We're talking about thousands of teams. The Shegles came in ninth out of thousands of teams. I think they rank number 1 as far as chokes go. One thing G.R. that distinguishes us from Turd fans is they follow other teams. I understand Hollywood because he has lived in different cities but the rest of da Turds don't. Take care bro. Talk to ya when the draft comes up. Keep those Super Bowls coming within the division except for the Turds. Lol. Peace.

  • yawn
  • Better off just ignoring him Route_36. His one and only fan besides hollywood hasn't posted in a long time so if we ignore him he may get bored and stay away. The most bothersome thing about his post is that yardbarker once again lets his trollish comment go after promising many of us that they were going to police this site more often and had some changes planned to make this site a bit nicer to post on. Yeah, right.
