Jeff Lurie is an outsider. he doesnt have the pulse of his fanbase and is living in a Boston , Mass mansion in his head. He has no connection to Philly fans. He doesnt act , think, feel like them in anyway. Over 15 years of ownership and he still seems like hes not from Philly. His Boston arrogance was on display in his defense of Reid. No changes. Your going to eat it and love it. Well do you love it? This team had an identity during the Buddy ball days and now we have none. What is Eagle football today? Its not smashing hardhitting reckless abandon. Its not gritty like the Jim Mcmahon, Michael Zordich, Bud Carson days. Ill take those tough teams that were short on quality personnel but loaded with hitters any day. At least they showed up and looked to knock your teeth right our of your mouth. Now, its finesse on both sides of the ball. The Eagles didnt stick to the historic roots of this organzation and they are paying for it. They are soft hearted, weak, shameful and out of sync. In all my years of watching this is the most wretched display of effort Ive ever seen by any pro team. And though the owners of the past were broke gamblers they had a connection to the City. A bond is broken and I submit that it wont be repaired unless the Eagles recommit to dealing honestly with the players and fans. It starts with Jackson. This guy is all Philly. Before this season he gave 100% +. The Eagle owner has showed his arrogance and it allows Reid to display his whenever he wants too. I want to hear you say I LOVE THIS TEAM!

unlike in the 90s we r competing every year to wint the division and are usually in the playoffs. this is the best group of owners/coach i thinkn the eagles have ever had maybe besides in the 40s. do they piss me off? of course. i dont need an owner that has a connection to fans i dont want him out at the bar with them like jerry jones. u act like llurie is as bad as JJ or Al Davis. u dont like them than go watch the ravens or colts or browns or whoever u actually root for, maybe the cowboys??? i know ur pulling for the giants in the playoffs since they r from the NFC east -

Stated it before, born in Germantown and lived in the suburbs most of my life and I am a 4 for 4 guy. Only love Philly teams and football is the only sport I watch constantly. I admit being somewhat of a fair weather fan with the other 3 (seasons are too long to watch every game but I might actually have to start watching those Sixers soon).
I love the Eagles! No organization is perfect hollywood as much as you would like us to believe that the Ravens are and the Baltimore Colts were (you remember them, the team that snuck out of town in the dead of night). Do they make every right move...NO, but they continiously put a very good product on the field. Who cares if Lurie doesn't call Philly his home. Do you even realize that the Eagles were named Sports team of the year by Beyond Sport for their Go Green efforts, the money they raised with their Tackling Breast Cancer campaign and the kids they helped with the Eagles Youth Partnership? The Lurie's absolutely give back to the community...and that is what truly matters but of course you would NEVER bring that up because it doesn't fit your needs to try to prove your point. Who cares if he stays behind the scenes...ask most sports fans and I would guess that they would tell you that they would rather have an owner who let his people that know their respective sports do the hiring and coaching (just read some of the Cowboys fans comments about Jones's refusal to hire a real GM and you'll see their thinking of an owner with too much "hands on power"). -

I don't think any fan of the Eagles can truly say they are happy with what occurred this season. I'm sure many people are tired of Andy Reid "doing a better job" of neglecting the linebackers, misusing timeouts, setting players and coaches up to fail, and ultimately not winning the big game. With that being the case; if the Eagles were 3-13 or 13-3 they are my team and I will support them. I don't always have to agree with what they are doing. We don't always agree with what our family does, but we are still there for them and support them. The Eagles are like a part of my family. Those who walk away were never really fans in the first place.

They knock JJ and yes he has alot of issues, but one thing you cant take away from the guy is obsession with winning it all. I respect that part of JJ's personality.

He gets knocked for letting his obsession with himself get in the way of making some of the right decisions to get back and win another one. He had a lot of help winning those multiple championships you brought up...some other guy with the initails JJ (and don't give me Switzer won one, never would have happened without Johnson's players).
