THE EAGLES ARE MADDENING.

MAYBE it's the anticipation of football season, or of starting my own fantasy league; whatever it was last night had me wanting to play some Madden.

I prefer the ones that have the Play Editor feature. In fact last night I was jonesing for just THAT feature. Unfortunately my son has all my Madden games with that feature in his room, and with them all being PS2 games I couldn't play them on the PS3 anyway. Since I know that some PS1 games will play on the PS3, I gave it a shot.

Specifically, with Madden 2000.

Starting a Franchise with the roster that Reid inherited (the game closely mirrors, but doesn't exactly duplicate it), it seems amazing that he was able to right the ship so fast back then. From the shameful reality that we ever started Torrance Small, to the alarming lack of depth all over the roster, it's almost an act of God that Reid managed to get stability to take root so fast in real life.

There's TONS more talent on this 2013 roster than there was on that 1999 team, so I expect (not much THIS year, but) a very competitive team NEXT year. Can't wait to see how it'll all play out.
