Trojans' Carroll Confirms Talks With Dolphins

The speculation is over: Pete Carroll has admitted to talking to the Dolphins about their coaching vacancy. Furthermore, he sounds like he might be interested. USC's coach said, "It had all the elements I've always talked about," while pointing out that Miami was willing to give him final say in hiring and personnel. USC's athletic director Mike Garrett said he's not worried about his prize coach leaving, but Carroll's time in college football may be coming to an end. For a guy that has utterly dominated the college football world, he may want another crack at the professional level.
