49ers shake up offense in preparation for Sunday

Veteran tackle Tony Pashos will get a bulk of the work at right tackle. His veteran experience helped propel him to that position. Pashos replaces Adam Snyder who now will split time at right guard with Chilo Rachal.
Rachal was given high praise last season and earned his starting job in midseason. Now head coach Mike Singletary is expecting bigger and better things from him. Rachal's struggle has forced Snyder to move to right guard. It can be viewed as a demotion for Snyder as he no longer will start at right tackle. Or it can be viewed as the team using Snyder's versatility (which means that he still will get some looks at tackle). Whatever the case may be, the 49ers will have a new look and hopefully better protection for the quarterback.
