Crabtree speaks to media on development as an NFL receiver

Rookie Michael Crabtree spoke to the media for the first time since his conference with the media upon signing with the team two weeks ago. He made his answers short and simple, but had a lot of hopes for a great start with the 49ers. Offensive coordinator Jimmy Raye also spoke the media and addressed Crabtree’s role in the team’s offense as well as the team’s attack against the Texans.

Defensive coordinator Greg Manusky spoke the media as well and a lot of his discussion focused on the team secondary. After a terrible performance by the 49ers in thelr 45-10 loss to the Falcons,. Manusky assured that the team will be more focused for their game against Houston. CBs Nate Clements, Dre Bly and Shawntae Spencer will all get cracks at defending Andre Johnson.

Below is the transcripts of both Raye and Crabtree’s conversation with the media. There is a lot of hope and anticipation for the 49ers offense.
