Fear of the Previously Laughable

Four weeks ago I seriously envisioned that the Hawks would be 3-1 now, and we`d be facing a Jacksonville team at home, that all of the experts had picked to finish in the basement of their division. That was then, this is now. Now we have injuries once again, and last year is on the verge of making a reappearance. We have a quarterback who SHOULD be winning at least as many as he`s losing. He`s got the weapons, but his execution leaves more than a little to be desired. So, a Jaguars team that only recently wasn`t given much thought by this fan of the Blitz Boys, will be on their way to the city hard by the slopes of Mt Rainier, and I`m filled with all kinds of trepidations.

C`mon Seneca, stop laughing so much and get your nose to the grindstone. The season is slipping by and leaving us in the dust.

At least, make it close. Getting blown out at home by the Jags, won`t look pretty in your resume.

      Jaymz77,
Eric has an up hill battle to getting the team back in shape. I heard about all the fines and his version of discipline. I'm happy to see him reigning in these spoiled brats from trying to run his team.

He is sending a message to the team. Everybody needs to be on the same page. Give Mangini some slack. Takes time to work out the chinks.

Lots of talk on the radio down here about Holmgren coming to Dallas if and when Phillips gets his exit papers.

no offense to Holmgren, but he is not the right guy

Mike would only agree to coach Dallas, if he got a non-interference clause in the contract. But maybe Jerry, has begun to see the light? He knows he had the best in Parcells, but let him get away because he couldn`t keep his hands off. He`s had his way while Wade`s been in the drivers` seat, but its not producing the desired results. Perhaps he`s seeing it finally, that without a premiere coach on the field, he`s not going to revive the Cowboys to their greatness?

The one thing Holmgren can do is get Tony Romo reigned in. He's great with QB's. Wade Wilson and Jason Garrett aren't cutting it.

I like Mike Holmgren but I hear the Redskins are his top choice. I really like another Mike for this job,.... Shanahan.

Knocking Wade down to D/C and getting rid of Jason Garrett, Wade Wilson, and Dave Campo completely. Will serve the Cowboys evenly on defense and offense guys.

I`d like to see Shanahan in Big D. He`s got the temperament for the job, and the skills to turn things around quickly. But as with Holmgren, I`m also sure that Shanahan will demand (and get) a non-interference clause in his contract. Jones didn`t get to be as wealthy as he is by being stupid. I`m sure that even he, knows what has to be done, now.

I feel your pain Wheelman - not a Seahawks fan but I know how it feels when you think your team is really good and they just can't seem to get it together.

      Yeah Wheel,
I like Jim Mora Jr., he's dealing with some things, but it'll work out. I can see Jim geting the team back on track.

agree, they are a better team than their record indicates.
