$40 million for Donovan and Meyer to coach at Florida

The Florida Athletic Department has been extremely successful this season, garnering NCAA titles in both football and basketball. As a result, their coaches need a big payday! When all accounted for, the new contracts for football coach Urban Meyer and basketball coach Billy Donovan will cost the school $40 million through 2013. Meyer is earning $3.25 a year, while Donovan's new contract calls for $3.5 a year. Florida can afford it because they're marketing capabilities are through the roof.
