UF Gators One of The Youngest Teams Around

This sort of scene — new guy misses an assignment, forgets a duty or finds himself out of position — is trademark of a football training camp. But the mistakes seem more prevalent at Florida, which appears to boast the youngest and one of the least-experienced teams in major college football. In a survey of 69 Division I-A schools — the 65 teams in the six BCS conferences, Notre Dame and in-state squads UCF, FAU and FIU, schools were asked for a breakdown of their scholarship players according to class. Forty-eight responded (Rutgers and Illinois declined to participate), and the data magnifies UF's youth.
