Showalter Joins Indians as Advisor

Looks like GM Mark Shapiro has a new right hand man in Cleveland. While Showalter's responsibilites have not been formally laid out yet, he will likely be heavily involved in player development. Makes sense, while he was only slightly better than.500 career as a big league manager, has was largely responsible for developing the core talent of of the Yankees championship teams. Torre gets all the hype but Showalter made that team happen. It would be nice if he could bring some of that magic touch to the Tribe.
