Greg Oden and Blazer Fans

Just breathe. As Blazer fans, we want success. We want our team to do well. Be healthy. Have fun. Represent the community well and be role models. We have suffered many set-backs and embarrassments over the years and we are still here... excited about the "potential" of our young team. Greg, don't add undue stress about how fans will react to one game. We didn't expect you to be Superman (even he has a kryptonite). We expect you to work hard, face adversity and use the life lessons to become a better man. The basketball stuff will come. Up to this point, you have done well at handling everything you are going through. Don't blow it by becoming a "Debbie Downer"- engage us. Don't hide. Represent us. Don't hide. Be yourself and we'll like that... alot. Have fun. Take risks on the court. Make mistakes and laugh and learn from them. Dunk on people. Rebound with a snarl. Smile when you block shots. Be yourself. Have I said "HAVE FUN" yet? Did that sink in yet? HAVE FUN DUDE! We are smart fans. We will hold our club accountable. Freak injuries are frustrating to us. However, we can't control that any more than you can. But you can continue to endear your self to us by being accountable for your rehab and getting healthy and having a positive attitude and then playing without fear when the time comes. When you are having fun, we are loving Greg Oden. We are still in that, "Just wait mode..." Embrace that Greg and just go have fun. Be a kid on the court. Be a man off it like you have been since joining our team. Have fun bro... We are not going anywhere. We want you in Portland for your career. Just have fun.
