Warriors' Morrow Inexplicably Not Invited to 3-Point Shootout

Warriors guard Anthony Morrow is leading the NBA in 3-point shooting at 50 percent. However, he was not invited to participate in the 3-point shootout during All-Star Weekend.

Perhaps it is because of his team's record (16-34). Or maybe because he's not high profile enough, being just an undrafted player in his rookie season. In reality, there really is no legitimate reason to justify this snub. What are the criteria to be selected to the 3-point shootout?

Mike Bibby of the Hawks, Daequan Cook of the Heat, Danny Granger of the Pacers, Jason Kapono of the Raptors, Rashard Lewis of the Magic, and Roger Mason of the Spurs will be participating. Mason is the only player shooting in the top 20 of the NBA in 3-point FG percentage. However, Bibby is 28th, Cook is 31st, Granger is 45th, and Lewis is 23rd. Why NBA, why? Why not invite the best 3-point shooters and make the contest more interesting?

Hopefully the contest won't turn out to be a brickfest. Kapono is going for his 3rd straight contest win, and he should get it with this competition.
