The "Asphalt Avengers" is the episodic story of a group of inner-city "tweens" (ages 10-12), delivering strong, encouraging messages of how to deal with the real life, day to day challenges all children face. The show conveys its messages through Drew and his inner-city roller hockey team in New York City's lower west side. On a makeshift skating rink, the "Asphalt Avengers" compete, not only for bragging rights, but social status and peer acceptance.
