Getting the Party Started

Chris Doyle should be smiling as his 2009-10 season got underway on Saturday evening with a pretty solid performance. Doyle who was a 2008 5th round pick of the Rangers had a goal in regulation and one on the shootout as Doyle's Prince Edward Island Rocket defeated the Halifax Mooseheads 6-5 in the exhibition opener for both teams.

Doyle was a +1 with 7 shots on goal and 3 good hits as he looks to bounce back from a season where a back injury cost him dearly. Doyle last season was leading Ranger prospects in scoring for the first half of the season until a back injury took the energy out of his game.
