Ozzie Guillen's Vote for 3B Gold Glove...Tony Batista?

Way to make a mockery of major league baseball yet again, Ozzie. I'm sure managers vote for their own guys when it comes to individual awards. It's very noticeable when a manager brings his own players to the all-star game, but does he have to vote for Tony Batista, who was designated for assignment on June 14th, as the American League Gold Glove Award Winner? Guillen explains. "Obviously, one manager isn't going to vote for mine. I'm going to vote for the worst guy on the field so my guy [Joe Crede] is one vote ahead. That's the way people should do it. I will do that. I will vote for [Batista]. I will vote for him so Chavez doesn't get his. That's the way." Not to be overdramatic...but this bothers me just as much as any player who 'cheats' the game. At least when a player takes performance enhancing drugs, they do it to compete. Guillen is rigging the system...and worse, telling everyone he's doing it. What good are records anyway if the people awarding and upholding them are voting for 'Tony Batista?'
