Cole Hamels Rips Phillies for Not Having a Team Chiropractor

Everyday this guy is becoming more and more like Steve Carlton. I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that Hamels stop talking to the press altogether much like Carlton did in his tenure with Philadelphia. I think his comments might be a bit too "Californian" for this town. In a city like Philly that takes pride in being a blue-collar town, the whining from a 23-year-old 2nd year pitcher will not hold up. Granted he's their ace, he's my favorite Phillies pitcher, and he's won 14 games with a 3.50 ERA. But a damn chiropractor?? Like the article mentions, most MLB teams frown upon them. Personally in my opinion chiropractors are like witch doctors. Sorry if I offended and Yardbarker back practitioners. There is no need for him to see one twice a week at his age, and it certainly isn't the reason that his elbow is sore. That's from pitching more innings these last two years than he's ever pitched in his lifetime. This absurd comment from a future Phillies star comes just days after he ripped the fans of Philadelphia for being front-runners when they swept four games from the Mets at home. I'm sorry Cole, I love ya and all, but you've only been here a year and a half. Plus you grew up as a padres fan! What's with these Phillies pitchers? Brett Myers beats his wife in public last year, and then curses out a reporter after giving up two homeruns against the Padres at home this year. Freddy Garcia signs for $10M a year only to admit that his shoulder has been ruined since last year in Chicago and can only make a handful of starts. Now Hamels is showing all the signs of being a big, spoiled, cry baby. Man, I was really beginning to like rooting for you Cole. Just zip it would you. Please Eagles season, hurry up and start would you!
