Vernon Gholston: Bust or Beast?

Vernon Gholston spends a few minutes with the Yard. In this exclusive video he talks about his versatility, his similarities to San Diego Charger Shawne Merriman and fellow draft prospect Chris Long, and he also breaks down the differences between the 4-3 and 3-4 defenses. Vernon could be the first DE off the board, maybe even the next player off the board regardless of position. Or he could be the third DE off the board (behind Long and Derrick Harvey from Florida) and drop out of the top 10. Either way he is a definite first-round guy, regardless of what specific scouts may think of him: "Vernon Gholston is going to be a bust. He doesn't play hard every play. He's not a great pass rusher. If you look at defensive ends, that's a risky pick. He has great numbers but I don't see that athleticism on the field. He does't play to his speed time.
