Big-12 Picks for Week #4

Free Big-12 Picks Week #4 September 18th, 2008 ? No Comments Sponsored by: BetEd Sportsbook Big-12 picks were 2-0-1 last week plus I hit my Big-12 Game of the Week key selection on Missouri as they murdered Nevada. No surprises in this conference last week as everything pretty much went according to plan. Last week: 2-0-1 This season: 4-2-1 Game of the Week Last Week: Missouri over Nevada **WINNER** Game of the Week YTD: 1-1 (-.30) This week's picks: Buffalo v. Missouri 2 P.M. est. - Saturday This is my top pick of the week. Visit http://www.sportslynx.com/members/wilsoncfb.html to get this pick. ???? ? ??? - ??- West Virginia v. Colorado 8:30 P.M. - Thursday - ESPN West Virginia has failed to impress in their first two games thus far. The World has caved in after the loss to East Carolina and the bandwagon has a lot of vacancies. Bill Stewart's attempt to fiddle with the West Virginia offense a little bit has not worked and now he must get back to what it is that the Mountaineers do best. That's what I expect to see tonight against Colorado. Stewarts wanted Pat White to be more of a passer but I have not seen it yet. Whatever the case may be, I expect to see something new including West Virginia's attitude when they step on the field tonight. They are motivated by their loss and hungry for the win here. Colorado doesn't know much about their football team after two games. Cupcake games versus Colorado St. and Eastern Washington has not been a good measuring stick. I have my doubts as to whether or not they will be ready for this game. Eastern Washington made it a 31-24 game versus Colorado and Colorado St. put up 17. There's cause for concern here and the Buffs are not getting enough points in this game to be ultra motivated from an underdog stand point. I think Colorado learns that they have more to learn after this game with West Virginia. Wilson Says: West Virginia (-3) ???- ? ??? - ???? Miami v. Texas A&M 3:30 P.M. est. - Saturday You know the drill. I am a Miami alum, it's hard to be objective. I only pick their bowl games. Wilson Says: Pass or make your best guess. ?????- - ??? - ??? Texas (-29.5) over Rice 7 P.M. est. - Saturday Seeing Rice put up 56 points and 42 points in their first two games has to make you hesitant to lay 29.5 points against them. However, we've seen this from Rice before. Against the suspect opponents they will rack up the points but they are always short on defense. When they face the better teams, their offense gets smothered but their defense remains awful. Take 2007 for example, Rice beat Utep and SMU and scored 99 points between the two games but when they faced Texas Tech they were blown out 59-24. In 2006, they won three games scoring over 40 points but when they faced Texas they were hammered 52-7. I think Rice is low on cofidence after getting dunked by Vandy last week and will not fight for 60 minutes in this one. This is their third road game in a row and it won't take them long to start thinking about the easier game they will have next week against North Texas. Look for Texas to cook Rice. Wilson Says: Texas (-29.5) ????????????
