The BearDown:
It's time for the first non-Tiger major in recent memory. Though this won't be the first weekend sans Tiger in recent memory (2006 Winged Foot US Open) it sure seems like it. And new, well different names have found the leaderboard. After day one Tiger's new 45 year nemesis with a bad back Rocco Mediate was in the lead but only one stroke behind was Greg Norman. I guess only time will tell if we see the Shark or the Guppie this weekend at the Royal Birkdale...

Every time I see it, there's something about Tiger in that Gillette Fusion commercial with Federer and that other guy that creeps me out.
The it struck me. He's turning into Jerry Seinfeld.
It’s Rocco’s World, We’re Just Living In It
I've decided to dedicate this to golfer Rocco Mediate for putting on such a show that I'm calling this planet his world now, of course inspired by Rocco's Modern Life.

Rush Limbaugh's Ex Wife Really Likes Mike And Mike
I mentioned at the end of June that you had the opportunity to get Mike and Mike to appear at your house with a sizable donation to the V Foundation. Well that donation has bee submitter to the tune of $57,100 and by none other than the ex-wife of ex-ESPN analyst Rush Limbaugh.ESPN Radio's popular morning show Mike & Mike In The Morning scored big Wednesday when it ran an...

Ten & Out For the British Open
Five Favorites:
1. Sergio Garcia: The young Spaniard will never have a better chance at winning a major. If he's ever going to win one then he's got to do it with Tiger Woods out. Last year he lost the British Open by inches and just some bad play down the ...
A Toast to Arnold Palmer
I may be alone on this but I think now with the emergence of Tiger, Arnold Palmer's greatest contribution to earth is not his golf game but rather the beverage he is known for creating, fittingly called "the Arnold Palmer."
Butch Harmon is a Fatist
Yeah, that's right. Butch Harmon hates fat people.
That's the only explanation for dropping a great talent like John Daly.
Come on, its not like John doesn't take his golf seriously. Look how many women he's divorced just to try and keep his focus entirely on golf.
Butch only cares about skinny golfers and guys who work out a lot.

Enough With Lefty
Another major is here, and once again it will not be won by Phil Mickelson. Yes, I can say that after only one round. Lefty's opening round 79, leaving him ten shots behind three co-leaders: Rocco Mediate, Robert Allenby, and Graehme McDowell. You're telling me this guy's ...
Caddyshack replaces Tiger Woods at British Open
What's the British Open without Tiger? A snooze-fest? Maybe. Unless of course you give the Open a healthy dose of Caddyshack, the classic golf comedy with a lineup that does more than just look good on paper (Detroit Tigers, you're on notice): Rodney Dangerfield, Chevy Chase, Bill Murray.
Who in this year's British Open would do a good job filling in for Dangerfield...
