Then, the weekend separated the field leaving only a handful of golfers with a shot at...

The Tiger Shutdown and the Tour
As most everyone knows by now, Tiger Woods will be having surgery soon to repair his knee and will miss the rest of the current golf season, including the remaining majors, the Fed-Ex Championship and the Ryder Cup. Here in Louisville, where the Ryder Cup will be played this fall, Tiger's absence is being acutely felt. I don't believe that attendance will suffer, since it's been...

LOCAL HACKER BATTLING TIGER WOODS
OK, he's not a hacker. He's actually pretty good. But Rocco Mediate (given name: Greensburg's Rocco Mediate) has the tall task of a one-on-one for all the marbles against none other than Tiger Woods at the 2008 U.S. Open. After eight holes so far today, Roc found himself down one stroke; not too bad for a 45-year-old who has never won a major (his highest finish was...

Good Idea to chase a Major? I think not!!!!!
