  • That man is amazing.
  • True there. Dropped my OJ when I heard that. I'm sure the TV partners did too.
  • Now I can actually watch golf cuz he won't be playing
  • wut up TC, dont like watchin Tiger dominate the field?
  • never was a Tiger fan
  • I haer ya, not a big fan myself but that comeback on Mon was trulty special, btw itrie dto clear one of them thumbsdown for ya, those irritate me
  • So Tiger played in the US Open knowing he had a torn ACL and stress fracture. When asked if he might have further damaged his knee by playing, he said "Maybe" (see the article in Comcast sports). Why would he knowingly risk further damage by playing ? I'm sure everyone has his/her own theory, some positive, some negative. I take that back; I don't have any idea.
  • Because he doesn't like making excuses. He steps up when everyone else would have stepped down.

Although Rocco came close this week.
  • exactly, he could have sat at home chomping at the bit or do what seemingly only he could have done and did. its machismo/bravado
  • prcleburne,

That's a good question...I could've had that fixed before this season started because he's known about this for a while now. I guess it's no different than a football player wanting to be out there helping his team. In this case the team is himself.

Woods is a gamer and always wants a new challenge.
  • Woods had surgery to fix the problem and then after delaying his return due to rehab/knee not being ready, he steps in and plays in the Open (a Major). Problem is that he has now possibly ruined his knee for future tourneys. If you listen to what is being said this could potentially cut his career short..i.e. he may only have a couple years left on that knee!

Good Idea to chase a Major? I think not!!!!!

  • A football isn't helping his team ( in the long run) if he shortens his career by playing hurt.
  • Tiger knew he had this injury, but he continued to play. So its his own fault that he's out the rest of the year because of his greediness to try and win the U.S. Open when he already had one
  • You do hate tiger dont you? well when Tiger started playing golf a handfull of people stoped watching it but after the first season millions started to watch, and i always wondered===who the hell is in that handful of people that don't like Tiger. Now i know, its tc. LOL
  • just never liked the guy...he kinda p!sses me off
  • LOL............love the honesty TC.......................
  • He pisses you off cause its apparent you dont know what an athlete is. You hate to see someone win and dominate, why? He is a natural and competitor. He proved that by beating countless of other HEALTHY GOLFERS. Thats make them look bad. You can't even beat a guy with a bum knee. How can you not watch, like and respect a guy who kicked butt with one knee? He's not cocky, he's a golf icon and you hate him. Is it because he married a white woman? Get real TC!
  • He's not only cocky, he's arrogant.
  • He's won 14 majors and lived a pretty elite life playing golf courses and attending Stanford. You expect him to be humble?
  • I am not a huge golf fan but some of the shots that Tiger plays are just amazing his shot out of the bunker on day 4 was the most amazing shot i have ever seen.
I admit as a Brit I was rooting for Lee Westwood, but you just cant take anything away from tiger he is an amazing pro, he has gotta be the best golfer ever
  • right on purple
and TC tiger is amazing how could you not like him

LOCAL HACKER BATTLING TIGER WOODS

OK, he's not a hacker. He's actually pretty good. But Rocco Mediate (given name: Greensburg's Rocco Mediate) has the tall task of a one-on-one for all the marbles against none other than Tiger Woods at the 2008 U.S. Open. After eight holes so far today, Roc found himself down one stroke; not too bad for a 45-year-old who has never won a major (his highest finish was...
