EA Sports decided to ratchet up the awesome in Tiger Woods 2010 with a dosage of SVP. And since he won't physically appear in the game, EA has based a slew of promos on an envious talking cardboard cut out of Scott Van Pelt. That translates to extra good times during U.S. Open coverage.

Tiger Woods' defense of the U.S. Open championship started with an adventure at a waterlogged Bethpage Black.
Woods pulled his tee shot 50 yards into the rough before scrambling for an improbable par on his opening hole Thursday morning, as increasingly strong rain pelted an already-moist course and led to a suspension less than 3 1/2 hours after play began.

Tiger Woods began his final practice round of the U.S. Open by hitting a 5-wood for his second shot on a par 4, which is rare for someone with his power. Stranger still was that it wasn't enough club to reach the 10th green.
