On Tuesday morning, former LPGA professional Sorenstam sent out a photo on Twitter which showed the result of a gruesome home cooking accident, and it was not for the faint of heart. Apparently Annika sliced off the tip of her finger while cutting chicken for her family and friends in lake Tahoe. She was rushed to an urgent care center where she received five stitches putting the finger back together. According to her last Tweet, it seems to be healing nicely.

While vacationing in Lake Tahoe, Annika was cutting some chicken up for her family and friends. She got distracted and sliced off what looks to be about a solid inch of finger. In her defense, who hasn’t mistaken their finger for a chicken...
USA Today - Sorenstam sent out a photo to her fans on Twitter of the injury she
sustained Jan. 3 while cooking dinner for her family and friends in Lake
Tahoe. While cutting chicken, her finger got in the way. Her husband,
Mike McGee, said in a text to USA TODAY Sports that Sorenstam was rushed
to an urgent care center where the wound was closed with five stitches.
