Talk about a bad time to be put on the injured reserve. Anthony Kim, who is playing arguably the best golf of his career the last two months, had to pull out of this week's Players Championship because of a thumb injury that has plagued him sine 2009 (btw, that is the most newspaper-y sentence I've typed in four years). Since early March, Kim has finished in the top-7 four of the last five times, including a win at Houston, a third place finish at the Masters and a seventh last week at the Quail Hollow Championship. He leads the tour in scoring average (69.26), and is doing a lot better job this year around the greens.
