It wasn’t a bad day by most standards. It wasn’t even a bad day by Tiger Woods’ standards. However, after shooting a 68 at Monterey Peninsula Country Club on Friday afternoon, one thing was blatantly apparent. It was a round that could have been much better, and quite frankly, it should have been much better. Now Woods has found some sort of not-so-happy medium where he has a swing that he’s clearly more comfortable with, but for whatever reason it hasn’t all quite clicked. Tiger’s putting is one of the main causes for concern. When Tiger was on, Woods was an assassin with the flat-blade. Tiger closes gap on Wi at Pebble Beach

Tiger Woods ran off five birdies in a six-hole stretch at Pebble Beach to charge up the leaderboard. It was only enough to make up a little ground on Charlie Wi, who looked steady while going for his first PGA Tour win. Wi played bogey-free at tough Spyglass Hill for a 3-under 69. He will take a three-shot lead over Ken Duke into the final round of the Pebble Beach National Pro...

Tough Luck

The year was 1998. Tiger Woods had won one of his fourteen major championships. Bill Clinton was president. Matthew Stafford was ten years old. And Aerosmith’s “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” was number one on the Billboard Hot 100. The Indianapolis Colts would never be the same. That year, Peyton Manning took his first snaps as a Colt. In the next 13 years, Indianapolis...
