There aren't any mammoth stories in the golfing world at the moment, but a handful of offbeat ones have been so kind as to bubble up to the surface at once. And that's one of the great things to celebrate about amateur events - the odd accomplishments and evolutions of a game that's played at a wider range of ages than any other.
To recap: In the past week, "a Canadian golfer sank three holes-in-one within the span of a few days at one of the country's most famous public courses. Meanwhile, a 64-year-old Scottish woman nailed two holes-in-one in a single round, something, fellow Scots are quick to note, Tiger Woods has never done.
So a few experienced duffers stumbled upon a few freakishly good rounds? Is that all?
