There’s an old saying that goes that the longer a couple stay together, the more they end up resembling one another. If that is indeed a truism, if donning a curly wig to look like her boyfriend, Rory McIlroy, is any indication, we should start feeling sorry for Caroline Wozniacki beginning now.
On Tuesday night, the couple Wozzilroy, who were once the hottest sports power couple in all the land before Tiger Woods and Lindsey Vonn came along and ruined everything, were attending a player’s party on the eve of the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami.
Wozniacki, who has never really regained her form after she started dating McIlroy (but nevertheless has looked great while cheering her boyfriend on at tournaments), threw on a curly, bushy wig inside the party in order to better resemble her golf star beau.
GAH! Sweet Fancy Moses! That’s awful, just awful. She looks like …um ... Rory McIlroy’s ugly younger sister. Seriously, I can’t come up with anything better than that.
As you can see below, this is how the couple appeared as the two entered the event.

Here’s the tweet that unleashed the photo upon an unsuspecting world:
