PLAYERS: Rory Mcilroy

Via Sportress of Blogitude:

There’s an old saying that goes that the longer a couple stay together, the more they end up resembling one another. If that is indeed a truism, if donning a curly wig to look like her boyfriend, Rory McIlroy, is any indication, we should start feeling sorry for Caroline Wozniacki beginning now.

On Tuesday night, the couple Wozzilroy, who were once the hottest sports power couple in all the land before Tiger Woods and Lindsey Vonn came along and ruined everything, were attending a player’s party on the eve of the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami.

Wozniacki, who has never really regained her form after she started dating McIlroy (but nevertheless has looked great while cheering her boyfriend on at tournaments), threw on a curly, bushy wig inside the party in order to better resemble her golf star beau.

GAH! Sweet Fancy Moses! That’s awful, just awful.  She looks like …um ... Rory McIlroy’s ugly younger sister. Seriously, I can’t come up with anything better than that.

As you can see below, this is how the couple appeared as the two entered the event.

Here’s the tweet that unleashed the photo upon an unsuspecting world:

Weird stuff, man.

Caroline Wozniacki dresses as Rory McIlroy

With Rory McIlroy and Caroline Wozniacki both struggling in their respective sports as of late, speculation began building a couple weeks ago that the couple is going through a rough patch in their relationship. McIlroy put those rumors to rest before the WGC-Cadillac Championship, and it appeared the couple was back to being their corny selves earlier this week. On Tuesday night...

Golfers Get All the Babes--Check Out Rory McIlroy's Better Half!

Back in the day when it came time to choose a path in high school I made my decision based on something very important--what could help me with girls the best. It wasn't golf, that's for sure. It probably didn't help Tiger Woods or Rory McIlroy much back then either, but it sure does now. Tiger and Lindsey Vonn went public Monday, but Rory and tennis pro Caroline Wozniaccki...

Are the San Francisco 49ers in store for a blowup season?

On the surface you could look at all the recent success for the San Francisco 49ers and easily assume they’re well on their way to being perennial contenders for a long time to come. But despite their 36-11-1 record over the last three years which included a Super Bowl trip in 2012 and NFC Championship game appearances in both 2011 and 2013 under Jim Harbaugh, the team seems to...

Is Miguel Cabrera this generation’s Hank Aaron?

On June 20, 2003, Miguel Cabrera struck out in his first big league at bat.  He’d get the last laugh however. In the bottom of the eleventh inning the 20-year-old rookie hit a two-run home run to help his then-Florida Marlins to a 3-1 victory over the then-Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Now, I bring that up only to awkwardly segue into this. Friday, the reigning American League MVP turned...

WWE upset with Nancy Grace over Warrior death coverage

HLN Video Hey, remember when The Ultimate Warrior died and Nancy Grace brought on Diamond Dallas Page to openly suggest Warrior died from steroids, brought in totally unrelated doctor who said things like “anabolic steroids are probably used by 1% of Americans,” then put together a list of wrestlers who died young to suggest Owen Hart died from drugs?
