Paddy Harrington didn't get the 'choke around Tiger' memo

Projecting out anything for a major based on a first day's play is a dicey business -- and yes, I'm aware that's exactly what we did below with Tiger. Still, you can't help but be impressed with the way Padraig Harrington played his opening round right next to Tiger Woods.Just four days removed from a frustrating Sunday at Bridgestone in which he -- let's be honest here -- gave away the tournament with one bad hole on Sunday, Harrington started the morning with a bogey, and it appeared he wouldn't be challenging for anything at all. But two immediate birdies had not just righted the ship but set it flying -- wait, I'm mixing my metaphors here. Anyway, he did quite well for himself, making the turn at -2 and then slicing another two strokes off his total in the back nine.
