Yes, you read that right—let's talk golf.
I stumbled upon this idea as I was brainstorming topics for my post today. Wandering around many different sports sites, I found this little gem of an article by Rick Reilly of ESPN.In this article, Reilly claims that Woods is not enough of a gentleman for golf. That his propensity for throwing clubs and swearing on the course do not fit with such a talented golfer. Well, I have this to say: Reilly has clearly missed the point of Tiger Woods. Woods has always been different, he has always been special, and has helped to redefine the way an entire generation views the sport of golf. Woods, unlike many other golfers, is not afraid to display his emotions on the course, and for that I say kudos to him.Reilly calls golf a gentleman's game. Sure, maybe in the 1950's—go to your local country club on Saturday and follow around a foursome of middle-aged men escaping from their wives and children for the day. I guarantee you...
