American golfer, Robert Garrigus has only one tour win since turning pro back in 1997. His best finish at any major was third at the US Open two years ago. Yet, I bet many have never heard of him. He’s a journeyman trying to make his mark. He tried once again at the Open Championship this weekend but missed the cut. Garrigus, who is known for being one of the longest drivers in the tournament had the shot of the day on the 15th hole. Thus, it didn’t involve driving the golf ball but simply putting. Robert’s putt traveled about a hundred feet with a chance of an EAGLE. Take a look:

I’m sure if you ask Robert, he would tell you he knew it was going in the whole time. That put him back at +8 for the tournament and that number was the projected cut to play on this weekend. However, he lost his momentum and bogeyed the final three holes which definitely sent him packing!

Sure, Robert Garrigus currently might be tied for 115th place at the British Open with a +4 score after two rounds completed, but that does not mean that he will be able to enjoy the rest of his afternoon in Scotland as the owner of the shot of the day from the second round [...]The post Robert Garrigus holes out for eagle an absolute bomb of a putt from the fairway (video) appeared...
During the second round of The Open Championship, Robert Garrigus had what may end up being the best shot of the tournament. On the 15th hole after hitting a drive near the green, Garrigus pulled out a putter because of the lightning fast conditions and ended up draining the 100-foot putt for eagle. Unfortunately for Garrigus, this was about the only thing he did well during...
Being a very casual golf fan, I have never heard of Robert Garrigus before, but a a feat like this will never be overlooked. Here’s Garrigus draining an absurd 100-foot putt for an eagle Friday at the British Open. Amazing highlight….unfortunately for Garrigus, he’s still a +9 on the tournament and will miss the cut, and I’ll probably forget who he is by Sunday.
Robert Garrigus buried an incredible 100-foot putt on Friday during the second round of the British Open. The putt, which was for eagle, came on the — you would have never guessed this — 15th hole. The 15th hole at Muirfield is the one where Rory McIlroy somehow putted into a bunker during the first [...]
Robert Garrigus lined up on Friday at the British Open and brought us one of the most insane putts you will ever see on the par-4 15th at Muirfield.
