Rory McIlroy played his way into several nice paydays this year. So that means it’s time the young golf star does like a young golf star and starts buying up real estate in Florida. McIlroy has reportedly put in a bid on the home at 2380 Old Gate Lane in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. The swanky neighborhood has quite the clientele, and the pad that has drawn McIlroy’s interest is one of the newer digs. Built in 2010, it has six bedrooms and eight bathrooms spread over 10,083 square feet on the 0.85-acre plot. The going price for the house, which also appears to have its own putting green, is $10.9 million — which should be just fine for McIlroy, who brought in about that much in earnings in 2012. He also has a reported $250 million deal with Nike. Welcome to America, Rory. Check out photos from McIlroy’s could-be new home>>
