The playing is over, now all that’s left is Davis Love III’s decision. The U.S. Ryder Cup captain will make his four wildcard selections at 10:00 am Eastern time today in New York. Heading into the Deutsche Bank Championship, seven golfers were considered contenders for the four spots. Here’s a look at their weekend performance and their probable Ryder Cup fates. Steve Stricker – The Wisconson native had four under par rounds in Boston, finishing in a tie for 13th. Ryder Cup Status: Lock. This is the easiest of all picks for Davis. Tiger Wood’s favorite partner and arguably the world’s best putter is a must have in these type of team competitions. Dustin Johnson – The long-hitting Johnson had a solid T4 at the Deutsche Bank, despite a birdie drought on Sunday that prevented a higher finish. Ryder Cup Status: In.
