Sergio Garcia says he was just trying to be funny when he made his “fried chicken” comment during a private dinner at Wentworth golf club earlier this year. “I didn’t mean it in a bad way. When I was driving back to the hotel, I started thinking about it,” Garcia told CNN’s Living Golf. “Obviously, I didn’t expect that question at all and you try to be funny and it comes out the wrong way I guess,” he added. Garcia responded to a question about if he would invite Tiger Woods to dinner at the U.S. Open to repair their relationship. Garcia jokingly said, “We’ll have him ’round every night. We will serve fried chicken.” Garcia says he’s learned
