Rory McIlroy managed to get through a round without quitting after 8 holes and walking off the course. His game is in complete disarray. McIlroy is still struggling to find his game and he is still struggling to find the fairways and green half the time too. Rory was paired with Woods today and he and his group started their first round off on the back nine at Doral. McIlroy got off to a fair start making pars at the first 3 holes. Then the wheels started to fall off. Rory made 2 bogies in a row before finding his first birdie at the par 3 15th. McIlroy was only 1 over par at that point, trying to stay calm and find his groove he pared the next 2 holes and made a birdie at his ninth hole (18) to finish his first nine holes with a 2 over par 38. McIlroy turn some heads making an eagle at hole number 1 (his 10th) a par 5. He may have gotten too excited because he then made 3 bogies in a row.
