LEADERBOARD
PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. (AP) Tiger Woods ran off five birdies in a six-hole stretch at Pebble Beach to charge up the leaderboard. It was only enough to make up a little ground on Charlie Wi, who looked steady while going for his first PGA Tour win.
Wi played bogey-free at tough Spyglass Hill for a 3-under 69. He will take a three-shot lead over Ken Duke into the final round of the Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.
Woods created quite a stir at Pebble Beach with his run of birdies, but he had to settle for seven pars at the end for a 5-under 67. Woods is playing this event for the first time in 10 years.
Phil Mickelson played the par 5s in 1 over, but still shot 70 and was six shots behind.
