Here's your April 16th Pin Sheet, just in case in some alternate reality this actually matters today: Of Adam Scott's Masters win, John Feinstein writes about the Greg Norman connection:  "“He inspired a nation of golfers, anyone near to my age, younger or older.” he said, his voice filled with emotion and exhaustion less than an hour after he had become the 2013 Masters champion. “He’s an icon in Australia not only because he was the best player in the world but because of the way he handled himself with so much grace through the years. He was incredible to have as a role model."" Scott's win popular even among scribes -- shocking, that:  "The dashing Aussie walked into an interview session an hour after winning his first major and nearly the entire room applauded for the most recent member of the green jacket fraternity.  Couldn’t help it." In Adam Scott's bag. In Adam Scott's...High School yearbook. Jason Whitlock writes Tiger Woods has an identity crisis:  "I’ll remember it as the weekend I realized adversity is Tiger Woods’ kryptonite. I’ll remember it as the weekend I first considered the real possibility that not only will Tiger fail to catch Jack Nicklaus in major championships, but Tiger isn’t on the same level as Nicklaus as a competitor." Interesting premise, but mostly posted because we all need a laugh.  Do golfers play better without celebrity WAGs? Masters ratings up 26 percent. Tianlang Guan will play at Zurich Classic in New Orleans. From Tiger's penalty to slow play, plenty of issues on display at Augusta, writes Farrell Evans. Inbee Park takes #1 ranking from Stacy Lewis.   ______________________   There's a topic in the golf world not covered in the links above, the bombings at the Boston Marathon.  That's a golf story, too.  It's an everything story.  For better or worse, this is what it is to be human.   In a week, maybe more, maybe less, those of us that are lucky enough not to be directly affected will stop feeleing sad and angry about the images we saw on television.   We'll see some tributes in South Carolina this weekend, but this story will slip out of our little golf bubble until the end of August.  Part of the healing process is getting back into our everyday routines.  That's important.   But as we do that, I urge everyone to remember these sentiments expressed by Minor Myers Jr: “Go into the world and do well. But more importantly, go into the world and do good.”
