Here's your June 27th Pin Sheet: American's trying to reclaim US Open, writes Randall Mell:  "While it didn’t work out so well for Gatsby, who tragically couldn’t win back Daisy Buchanon, American women have their own designs on writing a happier ending here in the golf rich east end of Long Island. They’re on a quest to win back their first love, too.  For an American woman, there is no greater prize than winning the U.S. Women’s Open." Can Inbee Park make it three in a row?  "Here at Sebonack Golf Club, a linksy course built on a vista between the Atlantic Ocean and Great Peconic Bay, the winds can bedevil players as much as the confounding undulations of the greens. That means temperaments promise to be tested. And that makes the South Korean Park doubly tough to beat. She has that steady putting stroke to navigate these greens. She also has the cool resolve to absorb the setbacks that the U.S. Women’s Open can deliver." 2016 Women's Open will be at CordeValle. Jason Sobel takes a look at Tiger's role in his eponymous learning center:  "The numbers are staggering. Since the implementation of the first TWLC in Anaheim, Calif., seven years ago, more than 100,000 students have been served by the programs. Almost every one of them has come from less than modest means. Many were on the road to becoming high school dropouts. Now they’re either in college or on their way there." Tiger thinks elbow will be ready for British Open. Rory sorry for bending club at the US Open. Paul McGinley says Rory's never going to be a model of consistency. Colin Montgomerie to make Champions Tour debut. Gary Player to appear in ESPN The Magazine's Body Issue. USGA refuses to allow Casey Martin to ride in a cart - again.
