2008 Masters champ Immelman has wrist surgery
Former Masters champion Trevor Immelman has had surgery on his left wrist and expects to return to the PGA Tour next year at full strength.
Immelman, who has not won since the 2008 Masters, missed most of this year with severe tendinitis in his left wrist. He tried to let the injury heal with rest until it was clear that surgery was his best option.

Injured Immelman to miss 3rd straight major
Trevor Immelman has withdrawn from the PGA Championship, the third straight major he's missed because of a wrist injury.
The former Masters champion from South Africa is being replaced by Bob Estes. The PGA Championship starts Thursday at Hazeltine National.

Injured Immelman withdraws from British Open
Trevor Immelman has withdrawn from the British Open next week at Turnberry because of a wrist injury that has been slow to heal.
Immelman, a former Masters champion, also had to withdraw from the U.S. Open at Bethpage Black because of the injury, which he sustained at the Memorial.
Immelman said Wednesday he hopes to return at the Canadian Open, a week after the British Open.
