Owen Groesser is an eighth grader at Van Hoosen Junior High School in Michigan. Van Hoosen played its final basketball game of the year yesterday and Owen had not played a single minute. Late in the contest, here was Groesser checking in for the first time. (You see where this is going?) Owen received a pass, readied himself for the set shot, and let it fly. For three.

According to ESPN, Owen hit another tre' a minute or so later leaving him with 6 points in roughly two minutes of play. Go Owen. Go.

Clowney has warning for Andrew Luck

The AFC South could get a whole lot more interesting in 2014, should the Texans decide to take former South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney with the No. 1 overall pick. Earlier today, Clowney, who is making the rounds in New York City ahead of tomorrow’s first round of the NFL Draft at Radio City Music Hall, dropped an incredible quote about potentially playing with Texans...

Sherman doesn't think Goodell would have banned Sterling

Earlier today Richard Sherman of the Seattle Seahawks became the highest paid cornerback in the NFL. If you thought all that money would make him more shy about voicing his opinions, you would have been wrong. In an interview with Time magazine, Sherman was asked about the Donald Sterling controversy in the NBA. When asked if he thought that Commissioner Roger Goodell would react...

Goodell hints at NFL team in London before Los Angeles

I want to thank NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell for that uproarious #AskCommish thing on Twitter yesterday. That was 30 minutes of the best social media entertainment you will ever see. But, did Goodell use the event to lever Los Angeles to pony-up for a new stadium by dropping hints about a NFL franchise in London? "@bArNyZ When will LA have NFL team again? #askcommish"...

'Strange' couple of weeks for Donald Stirling, Utah Jazz exec

Danny Ainge is good friends with Donald Stirling, and he remains so today. No, not Donald Sterling. That’s “Stirling” with an “I.” Stirling is the chief revenue officer for Miller Sports Properties, the company that controls the Utah Jazz. His name has become world-famous, in a way, ever since the racist rant by Sterling, the Los Angeles Clippers owner, became public in...

George denies rumors about girlfriend issues with Hibbert

Paul George broke one of the LBS cardinal rules by going on Instagram Tuesday to squash a rumor about him and Roy Hibbert having girl trouble. And what rule is that? Never ever address a rumor, because that just gives us a reason to write up a story we would ordinarily ignore. Let’s start with […]

Jay Glazer of Fox Sports reports that the Seattle Seahawks are finishing up a new contract extension for CB Richard Sherman that will make him the highest paid cornerback in the NFL. Sherman, 25, was entering the final year of his rookie contract and is clearly in the argument for the best cornerback in the league. He would have made just $1.389 million for the 2014 season....
