While Sen. Clinton's pre-Derby pick was an ironic metaphor for her campaign, the post-race fireworks are getting interestingly fun. PETA fired off a letter to the presidential hopeful noting: "As a high profile political figure with the esteem of many women, I regret to say that your public support of horseracing—and specifically betting on Eight Belles—makes you culpable in her destruction." Also likening the sport of kings to child sweatshops and dog fighting.
