The story lines for the 140th Belmont Stakes on Saturday - whre Triple Crown hopeful Big Brown squares off against Japanese invader Casino Drive - are shaping up with bizarre similarity to a certain hard fought battle that helped jump start the United States in dark days of World War 2.
