Week 2

What's good?

So, this whole thing still feels like one HUGE road trip. I'm not sure I've ever stayed in a hotel consistently for 4 weeks! It's crazy man, it definitely takes a lot out of you.

But, the good news is, we found a spot to live and move in tonight! It's a block away from the beach, which couldn't be more perfect. So hopefully in the next few days we can get back to some normalcy in terms of living. It's been perfect being able to work out for 2 straight weeks as well, nice getting back in to a routine.

Anybody catch the Hopkins game on Saturday? The boys are looking kinda good, and it's very early in the season, so that's some good news. It's been fun watching Stephen Peyser and Paul Rabil develop the past few years. They were freshmen when I was a senior and they were both extremely talented back then. But to see the players they both are now is incredible, it show's how much they worked on becoming great. Stehen has become an amazing all around player and Paul has developed into one of the best midfielders I've ever seen. My man Mike G (sophomore) in the goal has looked good so far as well, so I'm happy for those guys. It was nice to see them get a win, stay healthy, and play well. I'm definitely going to try and make it back east for a few games in the next few months.

We had our first autograph signing with our new team, the L.A. Riptide last Saturday and it was a lot of fun. It was good meeting the guy's, meeting the staff, and of course it's always great meeting all the kids. There's a lot of passion about the sport out here, it's nice to see.

Since moving out, I've been surfing 3 times, and I'm not even going to try and lie to you all, my surf game is WACK. But, I am definitely improving each time out, so hopefully in a month or two, I'll be a bit better and be able to ride some bigger waves. Because as of now, not only do I feel stupid in a tight wet suit, but I feel even worse when a 9 year old goes racing past me on a big wave making turns, and I'm having trouble standing up on the small joints!

Either way, this California living thing isn't half bad! Heading back east this weekend for a few events, so it'll be nice to see the family.

Talk to you all soon.

Congratulations, Kyle.

Did you know that lacrosse was once on the cover of Sports Illustrated? Hopkins guy, too. At least it appears he's a Blue Jay. Not entirely sure, to be honest.

I've definitely seen that cover before, we have it in the Hopkins Lacrosse office. Thanks for posting it though!

Hey Kyle, did you have any say in the new STX Black Proton Power Head?

Thanks for the comment. We came out with a limited edition K18 (my stick) black head as well which I had a lot of say in. As for the black proton power, that wasn't me my man, I wish I could take credit for it.

Would you recommend your K18 stick for high schoolers?

Hey Kyle I'm new to the Yard, joined just because of you!
I was wondering, were you involved with the new Black Proton Power Head?

Good afternoon, Mr. Harrison. My name is Ed Lee, and I cover college men's lacrosse for the Baltimore Sun. I am working on a feature on UMBC sophomore midfielder Maxx Davis, who is a cousin of yours. I was wondering if I could speak to you about Maxx and his potential. I can be reached at 240.731.9790. Thank you in advance for considering this request.

Good talking to you yesterday, I look forward to reading the story about Maxx.

Saw you at Dick's Sporting Goods in Mt. Laurel NJ. Great to meet you, and thanks for entertaining my little boy (Charlie). Good luck...we'll both be watching you.

I appreciate you coming by, it was great meeting you and Charlie, he seems like a great kid. Stay in touch.

Hey Kyle I was just wondering what your views are on 6 diamond vs Hard mesh. I'm a Dpole and I use 6 Diamond and I love it but I just wanted to know what u use?

Hey man, thanks for writing in. I like Hard mesh, always have. I've got nothing bad to say about 6 diamond, as I know a lot of people really like it, but I'm definitely a hard mesh guy, it stays consistent my man.

Thanks a lot man, I think I'm gona give hard mesh another shot. Quick questoin, from the defense men that you've played with do they normally have a low or mid pocket?
