Week 2

Well, week 2 of training camp down! It was another good one! We got up and down the field and the chemistry is really starting to come with this team. We made a trade for Jesse Hubbard, one of my idols and one of the best to ever play this sport, so it was exciting being on the field with him again (played with him in Jersey).

Since we play at the Home Depot center, after practice on Saturday night, we went to the Oscar Delahoya which was definitely crazy to see. I'm not a huge boxing fan, but it was an exciting atmosphere for sure. The amount of concentration that those cats have to have every second of every round is incredible. Also, I saw Oscar hit that cat once in his side and I'm pretty sure that would have been the end of the fight if I were participating. Not sure how they take those punches to the stomach and side and keep going. After the boxing match we went to dinner and started talking, and this questions popped up. Is there any amount of money that you'd take to hop in the ring with Mike Tyson in his prime for one round? It's a tough question man. There's a few different ways to look at it. Do you cover up your face, hop in there and let that cat crack you once in the ribs and put you out of commission for a few months with broken ribs? Or, do you roll in and run the risk of him catching you in the face and causing all kinds of problems. I'm pretty sure my neck isn't strong enough to take one of Iron Mikes right hooks. Either way, I decided that it would depend on where I am in my life. If I'm young and in shape, I'd do it for a few mill. Actually, let me rephrase that, I'd consider it. But if I'm old and out of shape, no chance. What do you all think?

Thanks for writing in about the NBA playoffs, it's definitely interesting right now for sure. What do we think about the the hornets snatching game 1? Expected? Anyone catch the feature on Lebron and his son on Sportscenter this morning? It was definitely a good one.

This week should be fairly chill. Got some stuff to do down in San Diego today, and then some events in Vegas on Thursday, and then off to Denver for a scrimmage this weekend!

Next week I'll be in Portland at Nike for a few days, so I'll be sure to get some good footage while I'm there.

I'll get at you all before the week is over.

"Is there any amount of money that you'd take to hop in the ring with Mike Tyson in his prime for one round?"

Not a chance. He'd kill me in less time than it takes for Pac to make it rain.

Yea i agree with Dewey, i wouldn't last ten seconds.
lax owns---<o)

Me neither man, no shame in that at all.

Hahaha, I was thinking the same kind of thing man. Definitely not a smart move to hop in there.

Well...I would stand in the ring with Mike Tyson. Does that count? My hopes are he wouldn't hit me.

As for the Hornets/Spurs game one, I expected New Orleans to win. I expect them to win the series as well. I'd love to see it happen. No offense to SAS, I'm just tired of seeing them win over and over again.

Anyway, glad to hear you'll be in Portland.
Do me a favor? Bring the California sunshine with you?
I'm about done with this rain. :)

Haha, not a bad thought about the Tyson situation, though I'm not sure how trusting I'd be that he wouldn't take a swing.

I think a lot of people have similar feelings about the Spurs, and their having a rough go at it right now, but I'm sure they'll turn it around.

It's actually been pretty nasty in Cali the past few days! Reminds me a bit of Portland!

well i guess i would, run around the ring hoping he wouldn't hit me. lol. That would seriously hurt to be hit by mike tyson. he might bight off my ear.....

Now I was thinking something similar, only issue is, that cat is pretty athletic too, so at some point in that match, he's going to catch up with us, and then we'd have an issue. I

THe LeBron/his son thing was interesting. i enjoyed it... keep up the good work with practice
have fun in P-townnnn!

Thanks! And I definitely enjoyed the thing on Lebron and his son.

You said your gunna be in portland? When you say that I really hope you mean Portland ME. Plus does your whole team go to the NCAA Lax playoffs?

Pretty sure he is speaking of Portland OR. The Nike headquarters are here.

Nah man, I'll be in Oregon. As for my whole team, nah, we don't make it back, we've got a game of our own that Sunday. But enjoy the games! it's going to be exciting!

hey i just wanted to say thx for coming out to our practice wednesday its was pretty sweet.
ill see u at the riptide games
ryan cole

No problem at all Ryan, thanks for having me. I'll see you soon.

The real question is could mike tyson stay in the ring with me JK yeah i would probably do it depending on the dollar amount i mean if you can just get some plastic surgery then pain always goes away and you have some spending money so yeah i would

haha, I like the confidence man, I'm diggin it. As for the pain going away after one punch from Mike Tyson, I'm not positive about that man...

when the next time you will be in colorado?

Tonight my man. We scrimmage Denver tomorrow at 2pm.

Hey kyle just wondering if Spencer Ford, Watson, and Terry are coming back or if any of them retired. It seems you guys have a lot of attackmen with the addidtion of Hubbard, who will start? How did the scrimage go? How did you play?

Yo man! Yup, Spence, T, and Watson are back my man. Add Hubbard in the mix and we've got a pretty ridiculous attack man. The scrimmage went ok, definitely a strange situation scrimmaging the team your going to play the following weekend in a real game ya know? Both teams had a lot of players still trying out, so it was good man. I was happy with how I played. Just wanted to get up and down the field, make sure I'm in game shape and stay healthy my man and I did all 3 of those, so I'm ready to go.
