Via LaxPower: Peyser Wins MLL’s Most Improved Player Award BOSTON, Mass. – Major League Lacrosse announced Friday that Long Island Lizards midfielder Stephen Peyser has been named as the 2011 Sports Authority MLL Most Improved Player of the Year, according to MLL Commissioner David Gross. The award was based on the votes submitted by the head coaches and general managers of each of the League’s six teams. After scoring just 14 goals in 11 games last year, Peyser exploded for 22 goals this year and was the Lizards’ second-leading scorer with 32 points. In addition, he ranked second on the team with six two-point goals after not scoring a two-point goal in his career prior to this season.
