Today I’m beginning a weekly series that will chronicle some of the best moments of the 2010 season as we wind down this unbearable winter to Opening Day on April 1st! * * * May 7th — Atlanta 0 @ Philadelphia 7 A little over a month into the 2010 season, fans attending their first game of the year were most likely all thinking the same thing: ‘I wish Roy Halladay was pitching tonight.’ However, the fans in attendance for the opener to Atlanta’s first trip to Citizens Bank Park for the 2010 season provided one of the most unlikely pitching performances of the season. Behind a seven run outburst led by a three run homer from our dearly departed Jayson Werth, Jamie Moyer, at 47 years old became the oldest pitcher in Major League history to record a complete game shutout.
