Toledo Mudhen Brandon Inge Applies Tag Halfway through his 11th year as a Detroit Tiger it was clearer than it ever had been that there is nobody else in Detroit sports who more surgically cuts the fans in two than Brandon Inge. Say what you will about him, but there is no doubt Brandon Inge had some flashes of utter greatness. As few and as far between as those flashes were, they seemed to crop up just in time to win back the fading, faithful few, and to reignite the flame of passion previously burning within those Michelob Ultra Light fans who’d decided to give up on him just the day before in order to focus their fancies on Brennan Bosch or, I don’t know… Alex Avila. His time would once again wind down. His fans would start to forget their passion and then, in the bottom of the 14th inning of a 1-1 epic, Inge would come up to the plate and crank a 430 foot monster shot above the bullpen.
